Customize number of questions per practice.
I have children with attention difficulties and while they enjoy scootpad it is difficult for them to remain focussed at times. It would be great to be able to customise the number of questions in practices and assignments and the number of coins that each practice is then worth.
174 votesHi Everyone,
Thank you for your very insightful feedback – we greatly appreciate it. With the new release of Practice 2.0, you can customize the number of questions per practice session. Check it out in your accounts!

Keep Trying Message
Change the message "Try Harder!" on the student feedback screen - kids getting 90% are seeing this and feeling discouraged, when they shouldn't! How about "Keep Up the Good Work" or "Keep Trying". Try Harder has this conotation of "you didn't do well"...
3 votesHello everyone!
Thank you so much for the insightful feedback. We agree – statements like “Try Harder” has a negative connotation and can be quite discouraging to students. Thus, we have eliminated it from the bank of immediate feedback within all tasks. :)
Thanks for the support and patience, and ultimately helping to improve ScootPad’s platform. We wouldn’t be able to do so without your feedback. You all rock!

Hints, and Video Support
First, students are left without any support (a hint bar) during their practices, and there are no supporting videos to display the concept! Tenmarks does give hints and videos--these is a major support for teachers, as it gives them go-to resources! Hints and videos for concepts will also support students in being more able to perform individually, and at-home.
34 votesWe currently have Scootorials (Instruction videos) for each concept! Students can access these on their dashboard, learning path, or within practices/assignments. Teachers can access these videos on their account while viewing a learning path.

When are building a custom assessment, is there a way to pull the information from your custom learning path, vice me having to rebuild from start, by looking at my pacing guide.
3 votesWe are very appreciative of this suggestion and are pleased to have this released today! Check it out by clicking here (https://scootpad.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/1895353)!
Thank you!

Opening Assignments by Time and Date
You allow the ability to set up assignments in advance by date. When teaching multiple classes, students in later classes have completed assignments before their class. Since some assignments are set up for assessing a lesson taught in class, it would be nice to also be able to open the assignment according to the physical time in addition to the date, so they cannot do something before it is taught in the class.
2 votesHello,
We have revamped 2.0 and targeted practices can now be set for a specific time and date.
Thanks for the suggestion!

Hide grade levels
Kids should not be able to see the grade level associated with the standards they are practicing. Very discouraging when a student is constantly reminded he is practicing reading concepts 2 grade levels below...... and struggling.
1 voteHello,
Thank you for the suggestion. With the release of Practice 2.0, currently in BETA for grades K-5, students are no longer able to see the grade level of their concepts.

Checking Student assignments
Please set it up so that we are able to click on a student's name to see whether they have completed all assignments.
Right now, the only way I can do this is to click on the assignment. It would be so much easier to click on a student's name to see what assignments they still owe.3 votesHello,
This feature is currently in the system. In assignment view, you can view by student and see all assignments for the student as well as their status.
Thanks!

Mastery Report by current learning path
I would love to have an option to have a mastery report for a student specific to the current learning path only.

Prevent skipping questions
Prevent students from moving on to the next question if the do not change their answer on the "retry".
For example, I have several students who get an answer wrong and when they are prompted to try again, they simply resubmit the same answer in order to move on to the next question. It would help if they were "stuck" on that problem until they actually tried a second time.1 voteHello,
With our new types of questions, students have to, in many instances, type in their answer or input the answer as there are over 50 technologically enhanced item types! NO more multiple choice as the main type of question!
Thanks for your support!

Reports for "Grades" assignments
I would absolutely love a way to print a report that gives and overall average based on the grade I gave the student for an assignment. The option to average each standard would be great for tracking purposes and to give students a better idea of their current "grade" which makes more sense to some of my younger kids.
0 votesHi there,
The new activity report for 2.0 lists all of the activities for students and averages them out. This would be a great number to record!

Intervention Tab
The Intervention window is not helpful since it shows the average of all the scores from one standard. I have a student showing 73% passage. However, on the last check of that standard she received an 85%. To get her to show proficiency is like having her do 50 problems on a worksheet when I know after 10 she has it mastered. Having the program show one standard and then be able to click on a student to see all of their attempts would be beneficial (unless this already exists and I just don't know about it!).
1 voteHello,
With the release of Practice 2.0, we have revamped the intervention dashboard and it is now the intervention monitor. Because wee are scaffolding while students are working, intervention happens quicker. In addition, we have solved for the averaging issue by scoring students based on a decaying average model. This gives the last score a higher weight of 65%..
Thanks so much for your support!

Limit math assignment problems
Teachers would like the ability to limit the number of questions on the assignments to 10 instead of 20. As the standards get more in-depth, 20 questions tends to frustrate the children. Teachers are also able to determine if the child has the understanding of the standard without the students having to do all 20.
2 votesHi there, Practice 2.0 solves for this by allowing teachers to choose a default# of questions for practices! Thanks for supporting us!

Reassign Incorrect Questions
If students miss a particular question during an assessment or assignment, there should be a way to reassign it to them.
1 voteHello,
In the assessment feature, you can reassign the exact same question and in the new Practice 2.0, you can reassign the same concept from an assignment.
Thanks for your support!

Option to Reassign (Goes along with the one under review)
Easier option to reassign failed assignments. I now have to create a new assignment for just the student(s) who did not meet my expectations. I still want to see all their attempts, but please make reassigning easier. Thanks!!
1 voteHi there,
You can now easily reassign an assignment to one or more students easily!
Thanks for your support!

Mass Fill Scores
I would love to select multiple students at one time in order to fill scores on reviewed assignments.
1 voteHi there! Yes you can review student submissions in real-time at your own convenience. Easily provide feedback for multiple students with just a couple clicks. Use custom rubrics and automatically keep parents and students informed.
Thanks

Link
I would love it if my students could click on a link on the wall. This used to be an option- miss it!
1 voteHi All,
You can post links on the class wall! Post links to open in another or the same window! Have fun with this tool!
