  1. Sync with FastBridge Data

We are now using FastBridge for our screening in math and reading to determine the need for intervention, as well as doing progress monitoring 3 times during the year. It would be awesome if somehow ScootPad would draw from FastBridge results to determine their needs!

  2. Weekly printable behavior report by student

Nice looking weekly behavior report per student to print out and send home. Would love a place for parents to sign and return the report to confirm they saw it.
A digital version would be sweet too!

  3. Add Speech to Text in Writing Section

I have students that are not good at writing because they have disabilities and need the speech to text option in their writing. I also would like to have the option to have spell check for writing or not. Something maybe that could be assigned to an individual assignment or to an individual student.

  4. Spelling Diagnostic

It would be amazing to have a Spelling Assessment at the beginning similar to the Words Their Way Curriculum. In Words Their Way, every student is given 25 words and the sentence to spell. I then can pinpoint what level the student understands in spelling - beginning/ending consonants, short vowels, digraphs, blends, long vowels, other vowels etc.

Wouldn't it be awesome to have every student start specifically on the spelling list of the patterns they aren't understanding instead of going through several spelling lists that I can tell they already know?

  8. Add a reading fluency feature

Students record themselves reading the available ebooks, assigned passages, or word lists. Student can listen to their own readings, and teachers can listen to recordings to track reading fluency progress. Teachers can score passages, or feature could be created similar to Scholastics System 44, or Read180 feature that scores them automatically, and shows students their errors.

  9. Reading logs

Allow students to edit/delete their assignments after they are submitted.
Some students are clicking "submit" twice on accident when they are done entering their reading logs, and then they can't enter their last weekly entry.
    or...
allow them to complete more than the requirement.

  10. Class wall posts

Allow students to respond to one another's posts within the class wall to encourage discussions... a layered response approach. Sometimes it is difficult to see who is responding to whom unless they say the student's name. This would allow more interaction within the students.

    Hi there,

The Facts Fluency module assigns a student 10 facts and 30 questions since a student must complete the session in one sitting in order for it to save. This is based on extensive research. Stay tuned for an enhancement which will allow you to reset a student to continue the fun!

  13. Student Set up

When you set up a new student I wish you could put in the graduation year. I would also like to be able to sort students by last name or graduation year when enrolling them. I have some classes that 25 of the 75 are in a class room. I know I could do it on a seperate spreadsheet. It would be nice to do it right in scootpad. Thanks

Closed captioning on all videos for teachers and students. Such accessibility is a necessity.

  15. Select questions from a list

I would love to be able to select the standards and domain. Then select the questions from a list. Meaning that I can see all of the questions loaded and then just click the ones I want with out having to individually click each question to preview. OR Preiview them like yo9u do when you have many selected in the cart. From there be able to add/remove as you go.

  18. Free response answer recognition

There was one question asking what the shape is. My daughter typed "Circle" with C capitalized. Unfortunately the software was looking for "circle" without Capitalized. Should recognize the letters independent of Capitalization. I'm posting this as an area of improvement/adjustment, thank you.

  20. Shorter diagnostics

A diagnostic should not keep going on so long.... once it finds a few concepts to work on, do those... then resume the diagnostic afterwards.
