When I am looking at Assessment data( I am sure other places also) it filters the students that I have enrolled by first name. Can that be switched to last name?4 votes
Yay! This has been completed, giving you lots of flexibility! Check it out in various places! Thanks for the feedback!
If I want to assign a word list I can copy and paste and many sentences come up for me. I wish it was like this when I added a new word list. Instead I can't copy and paste my whole list at once and I have to type in each of my own sentences.2 votes
You can copy and paste words and sentences will come up for you! You can then assign this very easily. Thank you for your feedback!
We appreciate you!
After the deadline has passed for a writing assignment, we should be able to see the draft students are working on. That way we can decide whether or not to grade the draft.2 votes
Hello! We have revamped the writing feature! You ca now see drafts and choose to grade them. The assignments also auto-save after 10- seconds and the interface for students has been improved. Thanks for your support!
When the due date for an assignment passes, it disappears from the student view. I still want the student to complete it, albeit flagged as late. Now, I have to manually make it a later due date for the student to see it, and then he/she doesn't really register that it is the old assignmnet, just being done late.4 votes
Just a heads up that this feature was released! Check out this section when scheduling assignments. You can also see all active assignments on the new assignment feed!
Thanks for the suggestion!
In Math, create multi-step problems that integrate multiple standards, similar to those seen on the Smarter Balanced assessment.2 votes
Thanks for the suggestion. Practice 2.0 contains multi step problems and also SBAC simulations!
I am struggling to use Scootpad with my kindergarten students because they are pre-readers and the voice on the read aloud is so automated that they have a difficult time understanding the questions when they are read aloud. Also, some of the questions do not lend themselves to being independently asked on an ipad, for example if it wants them to sound something out. I feel bad about this because my district paid for it and I feel I cannot use it.11 votes
I have children with attention difficulties and while they enjoy scootpad it is difficult for them to remain focussed at times. It would be great to be able to customise the number of questions in practices and assignments and the number of coins that each practice is then worth.174 votes
Thank you for your very insightful feedback – we greatly appreciate it. With the new release of Practice 2.0, you can customize the number of questions per practice session. Check it out in your accounts!
Change the message "Try Harder!" on the student feedback screen - kids getting 90% are seeing this and feeling discouraged, when they shouldn't! How about "Keep Up the Good Work" or "Keep Trying". Try Harder has this conotation of "you didn't do well"...3 votes
Thank you so much for the insightful feedback. We agree – statements like “Try Harder” has a negative connotation and can be quite discouraging to students. Thus, we have eliminated it from the bank of immediate feedback within all tasks. :)
Thanks for the support and patience, and ultimately helping to improve ScootPad’s platform. We wouldn’t be able to do so without your feedback. You all rock!
Would love to see an end of year student report that includes username and password so that we can print it and put in student's cum folders for next years teachers. That would make it easier to transfer them to your room for that year.

Thanks for the feedback! The student mastery report is a report that can be printed year over year. The teacher can choose to print it and display only the current class or all classes the student has been in. This will allow for a longitudinal view for anyone to review. While the student username and password is not on there, this is a very useful resource. Keep in mind that a student password, and perhaps username, can change at any time at the discretion of the admin. Therefore, this may not be super useful going into the next year. Let us know if you have further questions!
Award any amount of coins for any activities which currently cannot add coins for (non SP, behavior, ebooks)
Be able to give more than one coin for a positive behavior. Maybe be able to choose 1, 5, or 10. And be able to do the same with negative behaviors. Books read in library, non-ScootPad activities.51 votes
This has been released just in time for the holidays! Check it out and thanks for your support :)
View all the student assessments in one screen combining standards they have tested previously. Use for report cards or prog. reports.13 votes
Teachers can view the Standards Assessment Report to view all standards assessed and their proficiency in each. To do this, go to Math/ELA then click assessments. Click on the Standards Assessment Report tab to view the report by student.
All reports should be printable and/or able to be downloaded in a PDF format. I signed up for the premium account under the impression from your site, etc. that access to reports would include the ability to print all reports. The ability to do this will determine if I use and purchase Scootpad next year. The reports are vital and the need to be printable.24 votes
Have an option for male or female voice for spelling. Sometimes it is difficult to understand.10 votes
The Spelling voice has been adjusted for a better student experience! Thanks for your feedback!
First, students are left without any support (a hint bar) during their practices, and there are no supporting videos to display the concept! Tenmarks does give hints and videos--these is a major support for teachers, as it gives them go-to resources! Hints and videos for concepts will also support students in being more able to perform individually, and at-home.34 votes
We currently have Scootorials (Instruction videos) for each concept! Students can access these on their dashboard, learning path, or within practices/assignments. Teachers can access these videos on their account while viewing a learning path.
You need to enable students to see how long they have been working on a daily basis, not just time spent on a completed assignment. Data is only available on the parent and the teacher dashboards, but often teachers assign a required minimum amount of time of work on ScootPad. Students should be able to see exactly how much time, how many problems attempted and how many skills practiced on a daily basis for user determined date ranges so they do not need to ask the teachers or parents how long they have been working on ScootPad.13 votes
Homeschool license - hybrid of teacher and parent resources!22 votes
