How can we improve ScootPad?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  2. Shorter diagnostics

    A diagnostic should not keep going on so long.... once it finds a few concepts to work on, do those... then resume the diagnostic afterwards.

  3. Free response answer recognition

    There was one question asking what the shape is. My daughter typed "Circle" with C capitalized. Unfortunately the software was looking for "circle" without Capitalized. Should recognize the letters independent of Capitalization. I'm posting this as an area of improvement/adjustment, thank you.

  9. adding grades up 12th

    I hope you can go all the way to 12 grade and introduce geometry, calculus, trignometry, and basic math.

  10. Extend multiple assignments simultaneously

    Would love to be able to extend the date on multiple assignments at one time for the students who haven't finished them yet.

  12. Student Behavior Tracking

    It would be great for students to have the ability to track their behavior as well. I would like for them to be able to enter in their behaviors when they happen rather than me having to stop and do it (or remember to do it). I think this would be a great way to further students' accountability.

  14. Place for notes on student in roster.

    It would be helpful to have a place, perhaps on the student roster where a teacher could write some notes regarding the student that would be only visible to the teacher - for example, notes regarding the student's work in Scootpad.

  15. Access to writing on whole page.

    There has been many a time that, as a teacher, I wanted to be able to write on the page EVERYWHERE! I know I have access in each box, but sometimes I would like to write on the page in other areas besides the box. I am used to an app called explain everything that allows me to bring in my own work and write all over the page, not in just a box.
    Although, this works well, sometimes I have to get up to the screen where I am mirroring and point and draw my finger to illustrate something.…

    Hi there – Thanks for the feedback/question. ScootPad does a lot of data analysis and processing in real-time based on student answers and the grade that was assigned automatically. Hence, allowing for a teacher override is something that is not feasible to accommodate at this time. The team has been made aware of this request/need and will address this in the future design changes of the platform.

  17. Individual Reading Level Assessment

    Could you include a Reading level assessment component that would be included on mastery reports? This would reveal the individual expected reading level. Thanks

  18. Sync with FastBridge Data

    We are now using FastBridge for our screening in math and reading to determine the need for intervention, as well as doing progress monitoring 3 times during the year. It would be awesome if somehow ScootPad would draw from FastBridge results to determine their needs!

  19. Student Set up

    When you set up a new student I wish you could put in the graduation year. I would also like to be able to sort students by last name or graduation year when enrolling them. I have some classes that 25 of the 75 are in a class room. I know I could do it on a seperate spreadsheet. It would be nice to do it right in scootpad. Thanks

  20. visual support option
