  1. class wall posting indicator

It would be really nice if there could be a little number or check mark or something next to the words class wall on the dashboard letting the students and teacher know when someone has posted a comment. Similar to when someone sends you an email and the inbox indicates how many emails.

Just a helpful thought, especially now when we are all working at home.

  2. Classroom economy

I use Scootpad and the coins reward system to drive my classroom economy. Scootpad would benefit from an overhaul on the teachers ability to add and take away coins from the students bank accounts. The teacher should be able to add or take away any amount of coins (not just 100 max). Having to repeatedly give 100 coins 5 times to get to 500 is a pain.

  3. Easy navigation from class to class within pages

I wish that we could navigate from class to class without going all the way out to the home page. When I am looking at leaderboards and wanting to compare class to class, or when I am looking at activity for a certain day and want to look at the activity from all classes, it is a nuisance to have to go all the way to the home screen and then choose the next class. I wish we could choose a class from a pull-down menu kind of like we do to see different students in a class when looking…

  4. leaderboard addition

Our school is very competitive, and we are thoroughly enjoying the competition among classes within our school. There are currently Math and ELA categories, but we also like to compete with the number of pages we have read. Will you please add this feature soon (or include it in the ELA). Thanks,

  5. Full audio needed--especially for Kindergarten

I love the concept of ScootPad but it is still lacking what Kindergarteners need most--full audio. It does not read comprehension based texts and often doesn't read answer choices.
I would love to recommend ScootPad to my district over IXL but this is deal breaker for us.

  6. Allow teacher to add more than 100 coins to bank accounts and remove any amount as well.

Allow teacher to add more than 100 coins to bank accounts and remove any amount as well.

I already do auctions with my students but it would be amazing to use Scootpad to be the main platform for my classroom economy.

I would need to be able to manage paychecks and fines. Setting up automatic deposits would be great as well. I know this is a lot of work but starting with the ability to add any amount of coins and remove any amount would be a start.

  7. I think you should have a more comprehensive library. Many of the books are very boring, and not easily relatable for my students.

I love your ebook feature, but my students find many of the books to be very boring. I would like to see a wider variety of genres, especially nonfiction, and books that students would find more interesting.

Currently, there are addition. subtraction, multiplication, and division for the fact fluency. Will you please add the mixed facts for the students who masters all those 4.

  10. Assessment Times

When assigning an assessment, we like the availible time feature. Could we get it to be custom times? Such as 8:26- 9:20. This is the actual class time. Or could we at least add half hour slots as well? Thanks

  11. Add an "I don't know this yet" option in diagnostic

Students really struggle with the idea of "guessing" in the diagnostic - not understanding a question and being asked to "just guess" is very deflating and messes with their confidence. Instead, why not add an "I Don't Know This Yet" button to give them a way to opt out without feeling dumb. We use IXL - who does this and it really empowers the kids to plug through the diagnostic.

  12. Teachers should be able to set the timing/number of facts in fact fluency BY STUDENT - rather than for the entire class.

We all have kids who are either stressed by timing or need accomodations for number of facts - but the whole class does not need that same setting change.

  15. Removing Goals for Classrooms without ELA or Math

You guys implemented the aspect below - but now in addition, we need to have Goals for these subjects removed if we are not using the main topic, it is frustrating for kids to see goals for a subject they do not have access to! Thank you!

Custom Classroom set up for clubs and afterschool activities

I would like to be able to set up a classroom and choose what subjects to include in the dashboard. An afterschool club would use the class wall for planning and discussion but would not need ELA, Math etc)

  16. Leaderboard Restriction

We would like to be able to restrict student access to the school and district leaderboard like we can with the class leaderboard.

  17. Longterm Leaderboards/Leaderboard History (archive)

The Leaderboard is currently updated weekly with no ability to see prevoius Leaderboards. I would like to be able to see an accumulation of problems solved/coins/time spent/etc over time. My class is in competition with another class and we are looking at overall problems solved over the course of several months.

  18. Ability to go back in eBook without losing data as questions are answered

When a student has read an ebook and move to the assigned activities for the ebook I would like for the students to be able to go back and look at the text without losing work already completed.

  19. Correcting Pen for writing

"Correcting pen" for writing. I would like to annotate on my students writing in a different colorso that is stands out easily. Right now, every time I type in feedback (maybe a misspelled word or incorrect usage) I highlight what I have written and then make it bold...every time. When I highlight the highlighted portion doesn't seem to show up when students read it.

  20. lock features during school, open on weekends

I currently have games, wall, etc. locked at 9:00 for 6 hours (during school day), but I want students to be able to access these features on the weekends. I don't want to change my settings every Friday afternoon and have to remember to lock it again on Mondays. I would like a box to check "during school hours" for locking features.
