Rigor of questions
I would like to see more rigorous questions. Even for my students who are working above grade level, the responding to text questions do not require lots of thought. Most of the questions in adaptaive practice are like this, regardless of the standard they are practicing. Even having a standard four answer choices for all responding to text questions will help.
2 votesThanks for the feedback! Please note that we currently offer over 50 different item types and 4 different DOK levels within the practice content. At this time, we suggest that teachers use the assessment content to hand pick questions with specific DOK levels or item types to ensure a higher rigor.

Honeycomb Headings
We would like to suggest that the honeycomb show concept numbers and the headings RL, RI, L. It doesn't need to show the grade level specific numbers, but would help us communicate with students the ELA general topics with which they struggle.

While the honeycombs only show the concept ID, you can also view the learning path by domain, as a teacher and student, in order to communicate the specific area of struggle. Thanks for the feedback! Let us know if you have further questions!

Grade levels written into questions.
Please take the grade level out of passages. Ex: 'Using 2nd grade vocabulary...', 'On a 2nd grade passage...'. While I appreciate being able to assign different grade level paths for each student, many of the questions tell them that they are working at a lower level.

We currently do not show the grade level inside of content (questions). We do express the grade level in the description of the standard. ScootPad is aligned to standards and we do not change the wording as indicated within the standard itself. Please let us know if you have further questions and thank you for your support!

New Practice
- When I check student work in the new practice I want to see what they missed.
- When selecting standards in the new practice I want to see examples in the standards boxes.

Automatic assignments
There should be an option for teachers to turn on or off automated assigned work based on questions the students have missed.

Engagement
There is zero engagement in this program. Having a more interesting layout and a character or avatar would make the program more interesting for students.

Wrong Items for Standard
Set it up so that when we are helping students with a problem and we see that the problem is not appropriate for the standard have a way at that time to have the teacher send Scootpad a notification that there is a problem with that item. Maybe a special password or something that lets us inform Scootpad immediately.

Use Scootpad to reinforce standard specific skills
Use Scootpad for extra practice on specific standards after you have re-taught them. It really helps reinforce the standard for the student! Later, the student usually meets the standard on your re-test.

Identical Assignments
Make an assignment option that assigns identical practices to small groups of students so they can share and collaborate while completing their work.

I would like to see multiple choice questions for each reading passage in addition to the short answer questions.

eBoook Levels
I have tried to get my students to read the eBooks but many of the texts don't seem like they were correctly leveled. For example, "English Fairy Tales" comes up in the "L" section along with Ema the Rhinoceros. I think the leveling system needs to be reevaluated so eBooks at one level are not significantly more advanced than others on the same level. It is confusing for my students when they see a 16 page book next to a 100+ page book.

Master List of Concepts
Have a master list of all concepts covered by grade for those wanting to create a separate Learning Path.
3 votesWhen creating a custom learning path, teachers and admins have access to all K-8 concepts in the same style bank as they do when creating assessments, etc.

Writing/Language Practice
Add a tab for writing/language practice.

Thanks for the suggestion. Please utilize the writing area in the program to have your students practice writing. You can also view reports. Lastly, you can also create targeted assignments and assessments utilizing the language standards.

Standardized Testing Skills
I would like to see activities where they can click and drag, or highlight to help them with the OAA skills they need.
5 votesOur Assessment feature includes 20+ technology enhanced question formats to help students prepare for tests such as SBAC and PARCC. We plan on releasing 50+ of these formats by the end of Summer 2015.

New passages
I would like more reading passages for the Reading standards. We are using your site for a majority of our standards teaching, and we are starting to see a repeat in passages.
