How to enable video lessons if JW Player is blocked

ACT Mosaic Adaptive Academic Learning delivers video lessons (embedded on  ACT Mosaic Adaptive Academic Learning) to students via JW Player and/or Vimeo. JW Player is the default video service and if JW Player is not accessible, Video will automatically become the video service.

If your district/school has JW Player blocked for student devices, it is still possible to enable the embedded ACT Mosaic Adaptive Academic Learning lesson videos for students. Please forward this information to your system/network administrator so they can setup the necessary access.

ACT Mosaic Adaptive Academic Learning looks for specific resources to be accessible - please use the Device Checker to check for device compatibility: https://scootpad.com/system

To enable access to ACT Mosaic Adaptive Academic Learning video lessons (embedded) for your students using Vimeo, please follow the steps below (for administrators):
  1. Unblock vimeocdn.com, vimeo.com/api, player.vimeo.com
  2. Add vimeocdn.com, vimeo.com/api, player.vimeo.com as Allowed Referrers
  3. Ensure your web filter allows secure (encrypted) requests from vimeo.com
  4. Clear the browser cache (in chrome, safari etc.)
Please note that the above steps will still block students from accessing vimeo.com directly and only allows them to access the ACT Mosaic Adaptive Academic Learning embedded videos.
