Clever SSO and Roster Integration

ScootPad offers an out-of-the-box integration to enable Single Sign On (SSO) and Rostering (Secure Sync) with Clever. 

SSO (Instant Login): With Clever Instant Login, teachers and students get a seamless single sign-on experience - letting them focus on learning, not logging in. Using this SSO capability, users can seamlessly launch ScootPad from their Clever account without needing to remember/enter ScootPad sign in credentials.
Rostering (Secure Sync): With Clever Secure Sync, your school rosters (teachers, classrooms, students and enrollments) are automatically synced with ScootPad eliminating data entry errors and increasing student data privacy.
 
NOTE: Before you get started with clever integration, you must acknowledge that 1) the school being integrated will start fresh with brand new student accounts (historical student data will not be merged/available 2) auto-rostering of each school involves additional monthly fees ($20/school/month).

To get started with Clever SSO and Roster integration, please follow the steps below: 

1) Clever District Administrator - Request ScootPad & Sharing Privileges:

  1. Make sure your district is set up with Clever! If your district has not been set up with Clever, you can get started by going to this link: https://clever.com/signup
  2. If your district is already on Clever, you can add ScootPad by following these instructions:
    Log into your Clever Dashboard and select: Applications > Add Applications from the left navigation.
    Search for ScootPad.
  3. You will then be brought to a page where you can authorize requesting the applications. When requesting an application, you can select whether or not your district has already purchased the application. When you click "Haven't Purchased", Clever will notify the ScootPad integration team of your interest. You will also be asked if you would like to request a custom Launch Date. The Launch Date is the first day users can access the app through Clever.
  4. Once you have made your selections, click Request! You will receive a response within 1 business day (usually sooner).
  5. The ScootPad Integration Team will contact you to discuss the Clever implementation and process the quote/order for the additional fees associated with auto-rostering based on the number of schools you've selected to sync ($20/school/month). Once the order is processed, ScootPad will setup auto-rostering for the identified schools
  6. NOTE: If you already have Clever up and running for the school year when you request ScootPad through Clever, your current classrooms will need to be deleted before the new Clever sync. Please ensure you print any pertinent reports as this data will no longer be available once the integration takes place. This can be done at any time.
  7. After your initial integration, your class and student data will automatically sync to ScootPad nightly

2) Launch ScootPad from your Clever account going forward as follows:


  1. Login to your Clever account and launch the ScootPad App
  2. You will be taken directly to your ScootPad dashboard
