How can we improve ScootPad?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

    There should be an uploading option, or you could search for an image you want right there on scootpad.

  3. Assignments

    The new update on the Assignments tab (if I click on Math>Practice 1.0>Assignments) is not a good upgrade. Before, I could go here and see a list of my students, how many practices they had completed, and the average without ever scrolling down. Now, I have to scroll to each student to see their score and how many they have completed. Could we go back to the old way?? PLEASE!

  6. adding grades up 12th

    I hope you can go all the way to 12 grade and introduce geometry, calculus, trignometry, and basic math.

  7. Behavior Connection to Student Management System

    Is there a way to connect Scootpad Behavior System to the school's student management system - TeacherEase. Our school used STI Information Now in the past. STI used a program called Learning Earnings which is just like the Behavior portion of Scootpad except it was connected to the student management system. So each day, the student was given a reward just for being there (attendance) automatically because the systems were connected. Also, the teacher could give rewards for grades as they entered grades in the gradebook because Learning Earnings was connected. Is this something that could happen for Scootpad? It…

  8. Extend multiple assignments simultaneously

    Would love to be able to extend the date on multiple assignments at one time for the students who haven't finished them yet.

  10. Student Behavior Tracking

    It would be great for students to have the ability to track their behavior as well. I would like for them to be able to enter in their behaviors when they happen rather than me having to stop and do it (or remember to do it). I think this would be a great way to further students' accountability.

  12. Place for notes on student in roster.

    It would be helpful to have a place, perhaps on the student roster where a teacher could write some notes regarding the student that would be only visible to the teacher - for example, notes regarding the student's work in Scootpad.

  13. Audio in other Languages

    ELL students need to hear instruction in their first languages. Is it possible to add Spanish to the audio?

  14. Access to writing on whole page.

    There has been many a time that, as a teacher, I wanted to be able to write on the page EVERYWHERE! I know I have access in each box, but sometimes I would like to write on the page in other areas besides the box. I am used to an app called explain everything that allows me to bring in my own work and write all over the page, not in just a box.

  15. highlighting of key/bold words in questions

    Key words in questions and bold words please highlight so it pops out better for students.this could be an optional feature teachers turn on/off.

  16. Performance Tasks

    I would like to see some performance assessment style assignments that require the use of multiple standards and steps. The assignment might require multiple steps, but it would be just one assignment.

  17. create daily behavior wheels

    Another behavior idea that I'd like to see is if there would be a way to have both the cumulative wheel but also a daily wheel that resets to all green at the beginning of each day. If one of my kids has a really rough day I don't want them seeing red for days.

    Hi there – Thanks for the feedback/question. ScootPad does a lot of data analysis and processing in real-time based on student answers and the grade that was assigned automatically. Hence, allowing for a teacher override is something that is not feasible to accommodate at this time. The team has been made aware of this request/need and will address this in the future design changes of the platform.

  19. Timer

    Can Scootpad somewhere have a timer feature to click on? I like ClassDojo because it has a countdown timer I can use on their webiste and it is projected when the projector is on so kids can see how much longer they have to work on various classroom activities (not Scootpad assignments). It would be great on this website so I wouldn't have to flip back and forth between websites, Scootpad is close to replacing all my other sites!

  20. Individual Reading Level Assessment

    Could you include a Reading level assessment component that would be included on mastery reports? This would reveal the individual expected reading level. Thanks
