Intervention assignments
For small group intervention purposes, it would be nice to be able to assign the same passage to that group of kids so we could work through together, or for me to be able to run a demo assignment on my screen to work through as a group.
1 voteHey everyone,
In the new assessment feature, you are able to choose the same question and assign it to the same group of students to review. Check it out!

Rigor settings
Feature request: It would be nice to be able to set rigor as low as 5 questions. The reading passages are often long and complex enough that if a student can get 5/5, it is enough... also, possibly to be able to set different rigor or profieciency standards for certain students (ie most kids are on default classroom settings, some kids are customized).
1 voteHi All,
Practice 2.0 has been rolled out and this is a setting. You can adjust the # of questions your students see on a practice session versus a default of 10 or 20.
Thanks for rocking it out with us!

Math Upgrade needed
The Math component of ScootPad REALLY needs some changes. Teachers are not able to drill down on the concepts to complement what is being taught in the classroom. The concepts are presented in too broad a fashion and students quickly give up. We would love to see it improve and be of the same quality as ScootPad ELA.
4 votesHello,
Thanks for the suggestion. We are super pleased that the math content has been completely revamped for 2.0! More content, more state standards, more concepts, and deeper DOK levels!
Thanks for the support!

Assessment word bank
In the math assessments separate the words in the word bank. Example- conecylindercube could be separated into: cone Cylinder cube.
1 voteThanks for the suggestion. We have revamped Practice 2.0 and this was taken into consideration.

Help for writing section!
Can you work on the word processor part of the writing. My third graders are very frustrated. We have gone to working in another program and pasting it in Scootpad since I like the grading, feedback, and reports.
1 voteHello,
The writing area has undergone some improvements. Depending on the browser you can easily copy and paste, but the information can still be displayed! Try it out and thanks for your support!

non cumulative standards reports
I would love to see a students mastery report be indicative of the last assignment. Since it is a cumulative report, it does not indicate that a student has now grasped and mastered the concept.
2 votesHello,
With the rollout of Practice .0, we are using a decaying average and the last score is always given the highest weight indicating the students’ comprehension. Take a look at the new site and let us know what you think!
Thanks for the sugggestion!

Assignment vs Adaptive
Please add a way to sort assignments from adaptive practice.
1 voteThanks for the suggestion. We have revamped Practice 2.0 and this was taken into consideration.

Add more variety
Practice problems are repetitive and boring. Please try to spice up the problems, especially word problems by adding more different questions. We're paying a lot of money for this program and I don't want to have the kids answering the same formulaic word problem ten times in a row (The school got ___ packs of paper. In each pack were ___ sheets. How many sheets?)
1 voteHello,
We now have over 50 different item types in the program! Check them out (https://www.scootpad.com/platform/tei)!
Thanks for the support!

Gathering Data More Easily
This concerns gathering data from students completed assignments. When searching under Mastery Reports and then Activity there is no way to tell what assignment the students are proficient in unless you open every assignment. Instead of saying Math Assignment #2 please change to the topic like Rounding, In/Out Boxes, etc...
Thanks!1 voteHello,
In Practice 2.0 you can view each assignment (with the name you gave it) and the students’ proficiency! Thanks for the suggestion!

Moving students to a different class
When you un-enroll a student and enroll them in a different class, the students data should travel with them.
Student schedules change all the time the first month of school.0 votesWe have completed this feature that has been highly requested! Thank you for your insightful feedback and suggestion!

Customizable leaderboard
I would like to have my students see only the top 10 (or some other customizable number) students on the leaderboard, along with their own ranking. I want them to be motivated to reach the top, but not humiliated that everyone will see their name at the bottom.
11 votesHi all,
The leader board is now super customizable! You can choose to show a specific number or none at all. Thanks for your patience!

Report print functions
I would like to be able to print the dashboard report information with one teacher to a page.
It would also be nice if the Summary by Teacher dashboard report accessed all teachers in ABC order instead of having to click on the letter tab at the top to bring up a summary of teachers whose name begin with that letter.
1 voteHi there – Thanks for the feedback/question. This has been implemented and you can now print the pages in a printer friendly format.

Hyperlinks in ClassWall
I like the kidblog.com website because I can post videos and links for my students to click on, watch, then post a response to. I can use Scootpad's class wall for this but I need to have the links be a hyperlink, instead of the student's having to highlight, copy and paste into another browser tab to watch. Please all a link to be posted and clicked on. Also, maybe a blog feature in Scootpad.
1 voteHi Everyone,
This suggestion was fun to implement! Feel free to post hyperlinks and videos on the classwall. Change the target to have this link open in another window!

No Question Retry on Assessments
Is there a way to change the settings so that during practice students are allowed on retry but during assessments there is not a retry option?
1 voteHi there – Thanks for the feedback/question. This has been fixed in Assessments – No retry is allowed in assessments now.
Thanks so much for your feedback, support, and patience.

Provide a Usage Report that documents time spent over a given time period regardless of whether assignment or practice set was completed.
Currently, teachers only see minutes spent/problems completed when the assignment/practice set has been completed. If a student works slowly, their usage may not always show up. For example, if a teacher assigns 15 mins/week for homework - and the student does not complete all 20 questions in that time but did work for the 15 minutes and got 14 questions finished, there is no record of that to the teacher. It makes it hard for teachers to hold students accountable for that 15 minutes/week.
5 votesThanks for your patience! In the student activity report, you can now see tasks in progress even if it is beyond the due date. This will allow you to see items the student already answered and how much time has been spent ! Thanks for being rockstars and using ScootPad!

Math questions including multiple standards and steps all in one!
In Math, create multi-step problems that integrate multiple standards, similar to those seen on the Smarter Balanced assessment.
2 votesThanks for the suggestion. Practice 2.0 contains multi step problems and also SBAC simulations!

Assignment due warning
Have a way for the assignments to display different warnings. Example- one day before due date the assignment highlights in orange so student knows its priority. It changes to red on date due. Or have a way for teachers to send individual memo to student privately that they read when opening Scootpad.
5 votesHello,
Thanks for the suggestion! We have updated the program with the ability for teachers to get alerts about which students have not submitted their work by the designated due date. Only students who have yet to complete their work will get a 24-hour reminder alert. Parents are also kept in the loop when an assignment is approaching the due date. Visit our homepage to find out more!
Thanks for your feedback!
