  1. Scoring Reading Logs

Put the review feature for the reading logs on the same page as the submission feature. Then teachers don't have to scroll constantly/flip between the two to be able to score the reading logs.

    Hi Everyone!

Thanks so much for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. Now, you can view and edit a student’s submission on one page in the Reading Log. Just select a student within the Review page and you can open up the Review & Feedback drawer and the submissions drawer.

Again, thanks for your feedback, support, and patience. We appreciate you all for helping us improve the platform. :)

  2. Snapshot dashboard for parents with mutiple children

I have the parent subscription and my three kids use Scootpad. It would be nice to view everyone's progress in one place without having to go into each individual account. A snapshot dashboard would be great.

  4. Selecting questions for Assessments

I would like to be able to see the question bank and pick the questions for my assignment and assessments, not just the question type.

    Hi everyone!

Thanks so much for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We really appreciate it. We’ve launched Assessments 2.0 which includes the ability to preview and choose questions to add to an assessment, from the question bank.

Here’s an article showing you how:
    https://www.scootpad.com/help?url=https://scootpad.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/761772-how-to-browse-and-use-questions-from-the-bank

Please feel free to reach out if you have any more comments, question, or concerns. We love hearing from you. And big thanks for helping to improve ScootPad. You all rock!

  5. Total Assignment Average Score

I would like an average of my assignments that I assign. For example, I assign a months worth of assignments, say 10 math for one month long. Before, it would give me scores of each assignment but then average the 10 together for a final score.

  6. Disable Immediate Feedback on Assessments

Please take immediate feedback off during the assessments. Or make it an option. I have a student that gets very frustrated when he misses ONE item. I really wish all of my students did not see their progress during assessments.

  7. Reading Log Page Organization

    Reading Log Completion Organization.

It would be nice to be able to sort the reading logs by the amount that students have completed for the week. That way teachers can "inspire" those students who haven't completed any to complete them.

It would also be awesome if there was a way to have a scroll bar by the students' names so you could see whose reading logs you are reviewing. It would make assessing work much faster.

  8. Challenge the children.

Challenge the children once in a while to get their brains working. Like add a challenge question in the middle of a practice for extra credit.

  9. Include Questions in Proficiency by Standard Report

I think it's great that I can see which standards my students are struggling with, but I would love to see the questions they answered with that standard so I can see what types of questions they got correct and which ones they were struggling with.

    Hello,

Practice is dynamic in ScootPad as students can receive questions on various DOK levels and no 2 students will have the same exact content. However, to review content at the question level, you can use the assessment feature to drill down and see what types of questions and the exact questions students missed.

    Thanks for your support!

  10. Assessments - Same Exact Questions Across Two Assessments

I was wondering if the teacher could assign students the same questions, rather than a random pool? We would like to use these assessments for PLCs (Professional Learning Communities). In these meetings, teachers analyze data, common errors, and question wordings. If teachers were able to build assessments that were common among students and classrooms, we could use these reports in our PLCs. We really like the assessments because they mirror the PARCC.

  12. Improve Read Aloud Audio

I am struggling to use Scootpad with my kindergarten students because they are pre-readers and the voice on the read aloud is so automated that they have a difficult time understanding the questions when they are read aloud. Also, some of the questions do not lend themselves to being independently asked on an ipad, for example if it wants them to sound something out. I feel bad about this because my district paid for it and I feel I cannot use it.

  14. Spelling Fix - Backspace EXIT

In the settings for spelling it would be nice if pushing the backspace button didn't make you loose all of your work. This goes for the students taking the practice tests and the teachers creating the list. I have recreated the same list 3 times because of not realizing the curser wasn't in the word box and hitting "backspace" by accident while on the final step and it taking me back to the main assignments page and not saving the list.

  15. Don't put the holiday themed stuff on the log-in page.

I like the idea of an attractive log-in page, changing it seasonally. Some of my students feel awkward with the holiday themed images.

  16. Assignment questions - Assessment Format

I would love to see the questions types on assignments match the questions types on the assessments. Students practice on assignments, but the assessment question style is different and it can confuse some students. Maybe add some similar 'assessment style' questions to the practice?

  17. ELA - Written Responses

Many of my students are getting the written response questions wrong because they're not typing the answer absolutely perfect. This is a point of frustration for many of the students. If this could be adjusted then it would be appreciated.

  18. ELA practice - Capital Letters

It may be helpful if you could make the ELA practice more friendly for kindergarteners. One problem tells students to type capital letters when they have not been taught how to type yet. Is there a way where you can have capital letters and lower case letters, and ask students to pick which one has capital letters. This would be helpful.

  20. Questions for ebooks

Add PARCC like questions to each ebook. This would assist children with reading for purpose. Also a report tracking the kind of question that a child gets wrong would allow a teacher or parent to focus instruction.
