Direct link to e_book from within Reading Log Assignment on Dashboard
WHen teachers assign an e-book, students see an "assignment block" on their dashboard with the response prompt from their teacher. The title of the e-book is in the title of the assignment, but kids have to then go to e-books, navigate through all the levels to find the book. We need a DIRECT LINK from the assignment to the e-book - just like you see when you click on the Reading Log choice in the left tool bar.
5 votesWhen eBooks are assigned, it shows as one task on the student’s dashboard. Students can click Read to open the eBook and Submit to write their reading log.

The new updates are awful! Bring the old interface back.
The appeal for Scootpad in the earlier version was its ease of use. The dashboard where you could see and access your entire class is gone. Creating assignments is much more difficult. Cannot even view the students coin rewards......its coming soon. Very disappointed! Why change what was working. I recommended this program to other teachers at my site and encouraged our site principal to purchase a site license. I will most likely recommend our site look for another program when our license expires.
28 votesHi there – Thanks for the feedback. We sincerely apologize for the major change that took place in Sep 2014 which may have caught many users by surprise. We’ve learnt from that experience and since then we’ve been very careful and thorough in ensuring no major changes get deployed without major consensus and heads-up coupled with additional training.

Class Wall Changes
Before the update you could add a link to a website for students. This worked great for giving technology assignments and allowed students a safe way to get a site. Was this option moved to a new location or taken away?
3 votesThe students can post longer responses and students and teachers can even post videos! Check it out!

Scrolling concerns
When reviewing student work, I wish the box that I mark "reviewed" in, and give the student a grade, would scroll down the page as I scroll down to check in each student's assignment. Right now I have to click on the students name and then scroll back to the top to mark the student's grade/reviewed. Then I have to scroll back down to click on the next students name and repeat. I also wish there wasn't two tabs when reviewing student work. I like to see their scores (along with the option of how they answered the problems -…
6 votesHi all,
Thanks for the suggestion! Scrolling has been significantly improved. You can also select groups of students when reviewing assignments. Please let us know if there are other concerns!

Counting and Money Practice
I think that their should be the skill of Counting Money. My students need help with counting coins.
Also, when I click on the concept I no longer see a preview or example of the concepts
3 votesHello,
Thanks for the feedback. There are a couple of concepts located in our database which refer to counting money. You can search by this tag and view these concepts to provide a targeted practice. You can also see sample questions within our new Practice 2.0 content. Visit our main page for more information and stay tuned for state standards!

Disappointed
Hello, my students were so disappointed at the changes to your website :( They loved the fireworks and emotion faces that you used to let them choose. They also said it looks so serious and not so much fun anymore. Just thought you'd like the feedback. Any chance we can get those features back?
Thanks!3 votesGood news! This feature has been added! Students can now set the emotion and the fireworks should also show at the end of practices and assignments.

Hiding Common Core Grade Level for Students
I would like an option to hide the standard my students are working on. I have differentiated my groups according to the skills each student needs to work on but I don't want them to know that they are working below grade level.
1 voteHi All,
In 2.0, students do not see the grade level of the content. Great suggestion! Keep em coming!

I would like to see the ability to assign a link to specific websites that provide further learning opportunities
I would like to be able to assign a student to go to a particular website for additional practice or explanation.
4 votesHi there,
You can accomplish this on the classwall. You can post a link or a video and change the target to open up in another window!
Thanks for the suggestion! We appreciate you! -
Keep Trying Message
Change the message "Try Harder!" on the student feedback screen - kids getting 90% are seeing this and feeling discouraged, when they shouldn't! How about "Keep Up the Good Work" or "Keep Trying". Try Harder has this conotation of "you didn't do well"...
3 votesHello everyone!
Thank you so much for the insightful feedback. We agree – statements like “Try Harder” has a negative connotation and can be quite discouraging to students. Thus, we have eliminated it from the bank of immediate feedback within all tasks. :)
Thanks for the support and patience, and ultimately helping to improve ScootPad’s platform. We wouldn’t be able to do so without your feedback. You all rock!

eliminate negative emoticons
Please eliminate the negative emoticons from the shout out choices. It allows kids to send messages that are not kind. Unfortunately it does happen.

Proficiency Report
Currently parents can see the proficiency by concept report with the lowest % listed first. If you number these on the left hand side it would be easier for parents/teachers to assign the weakest concepts more easily.
For example if I want to make 2 assignments based on the weakest concepts I can click on 1-10 then 11-20 to make 2 assignments fast and easy without having to count where I left off.5 votesHello,
Thanks for the suggestion! We rolled out 2.0 and this process will be much smoother thanks to parents and partners like you!
Cheers!

easier referrals
It's too difficult to get teacher referral credits because of all the steps needed to input the name in your account settings. If you navigate through someone's personal link, the credit should register automatically.
4 votesTeachers can access their personal “Referral” Link underneath the “My Account” box on their teacher dashboard.

Adaptive Progress Tracking
In the future, I'd like to see a way for ScootPad to not only track students' progress, but also automatically advance them ahead or move them back based on their progress.
1 voteHello,
Thanks for the suggestion. With the rollout of 2.0, we have advanced the algorithms used to adapt practices for the student. Read all about it here (https://www.scootpad.com/features/mas-adaptive-practices).
We appreciate you!
